QLD – Ongoing first aid training for crowd controllers and bodyguards 

The Office of Fair Trading now accepts the Provide first aid (HLTAID011) as ongoing first aid training for crowd controllers and bodyguards.

The inclusion of this unit in the ongoing training requirements is designed to improve accessibility and availability of first aid training, especially in regional areas, and reduce the cost burden to licensees.

We understand some licensees may want to complete the more advanced Provide advanced first aid (HLTAID014), and OFT will continue to accept that unit as mandatory ongoing training.

By completing ongoing training, crowd controllers and bodyguards will remain up to date with the latest industry standards and techniques in first aid.
