Security providers in New South Wales must maintain proper documentation to comply with SLED (Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate) regulations. There are three critical requirements:

  1. Copies of the current master licences for the primary securiy company and its subcontractors must be kept on-site at all times*.
  2. Sign-on Registers must be kept on-site for at least 1 month and then stored and accessible at the master licensee’s premises for 3 years.
  3. Incident Registers must be kept on-site for at least 1 month.and then stored and accessible at the master licensee’s premises for 3 years.

*NOTE: SLED allows a grace period of up to 2 months for a renewal licence to be replace in venue. In the interim a SLED receipt of payment must be present for proof of currency. A receipt can be obtained from the SLED website.
