In July 2025, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) will release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of Integrated Security Services across New South Wales.
The scope of integrated security services in the RFP includes:
- Security Officers: guard, crowd control, comntrol room operator, ranger services, health security officer and mental health security officer.
- Asset Protection: alarm monitoring, alarm response, mobile patrols.
- Electronic Security Systems: maintenance and installation.
- Secure mail services: screening, sorting and delivery.
The outcome of the RFP will be the establishment of a Standing Offer Panel Contract. The Principal Agency (DPIRD) will enter into standing offer arrangements with one or more Service Providers for the benefit of eligible government Customers across NSW.
A sufficient number of Service Providers will be appointed to each category and sub-category to ensure adequate service coverage in all regions of NSW.
Please note:
- Appointment to the panel provides Service Providers with the opportunity to compete for work; it does not guarantee the allocation of work.
- All submissions must be lodged via www.buy.nsw.gov.au. Submissions via any other method will not be accepted.
- Participants are required to register on the buy NSW Supplier Portal. Suppliers who have not registered will be ineligible to respond to the RFP.
- Also, to be eligible to access the RFP documents, Service Providers must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
- A current NSW Master Security Licence issued under the NSW Security Industry Act 1997
- An accredited Quality Management System appropriate to the scope of services offered.
