On 21 January 2019, the training course for Security Officers and Crowd Controllers was updated. The new course CPP20218 supersedes and is not equivalent to the previous course CPP20212.
Both certificates (CPP20218 and CPP20212) can continue to be taught until 21 January 2020 and Licensing Services will accept either certificate (upon successful completion of the SAIWA competency test) until 31 July 2020.
From 1 August 2020, only CPP20218 certificates will be accepted for new licence applications.
